Flash Meeting with Friends

Today I took part in another global conversation organised by Paul Harrington. This Flashmeeting was attended by 11 educators from corners of the globe - England, Wales, USA and NZ.

The topic of today's conversation wandered around the use of podcasting and blogging in the classroom with some interesting discussion on home school partnerships and the digital divide. We have been requested to bring a friend to the next flash meeting, so if you would be interested in joining in the conversation, leave me a comment and I'll send you an invite with the details.

We are not only opening the doors to our classrooms, now we are opening the doors to our countries. I really enjoy seeing the challenges and celebrations from other education systems, and linking them to my own. Once again Paul, thanks for the conversation.

Hi Jane,

That sounds interesting. What kind of time of day are the meetings? I often want to join into Second Life things but they seem to be consistently scheduled at about 1pm our time which is a little tricky.

Hi Suzie
The meeting we had was at 10am on Sunday, Paul is really good at organising the flash meetings at times that suit all. I'll let you know when the next one is happening :)

Hi Jane,
I'm a third year student teacher (primary) with a background in ICT so am very interested in being involved in the next flash meeting.
Am actually in the middle of completing an assignment on the Digital Divide so would be really interested to hear what was said about it in the last meeting if that is possible?

Kind regards
Helen

Hi Jane,
I would love to pop into the next meeting. I am a facilitator of an ICTPD cluster in Auckland and also assistant principal in a large intermediate school where we have got totally involved in podcasts, blogs and wikis.
Love to hear from you
